To All Hospice Clients:
Regulatory Data File Updates
CMS has released Transmittal 13976,
dated September 29, 2026, which includes corrections to the hospice
CBSA wage index and national hospice payment rates effective October 1,
2026. The following regulatory data tables have been updated to reflect
these changes:
- Medicare Hospice CBSA Wage Index effective 10/01/2026
- Medicare Hospice Rates effective 10/01/2026
- Medicaid Hospice Rates effective 10/01/2026
Action Required
Agencies
that have already posted October Hospice claims should review the affected claims after payment has been posted and either:
- Enter a Payment Adjustment
for the payment difference, or
- Un-bill and rebill the claim using the updated rates
