To All Hospice Clients:
As
of 1/1/2016, Medicare requires the first 60 days of a hospice benefit
period to be billed at the higher Routine Homecare rate and the 61st
day or later of that period to be billed at the lower rate. To address
instances where the patient may have transferred in from another
hospice during a benefit period, HBS version 1.2.8.18 will now utilize
the "Benefit Start" date in the Patient>Admit>Add'l Dates tab to
calculate these rates on both the Hospice LOC Report and the Billing
Audit. For clients interfacing with clinical software, although this
field may be present in that software, currently this date should also
be entered in HBS. This data will be exported to HBS in a future
release.
To All HAS Clients: During this downtime users will not be able to connect to any QIES system to submit OASIS or HIS records.
