To All Home Health Clients:
Ver 1.2.8.52 includes the following important changes: - A
new
option for including Value Code 85 with the Patient FIPS County ID
with no leading zero has been added to electronic claims. This is due
to some clients receiving 999 failures from certain MACs when
submitting with the leading zero. If your agency is currently
submitting 2019 claims with the value code 85/FIPS successfully there
is no need to modify your option set.
Value Code 85 is required on claims with dates of service on or after 1/1/2019. Follow
the below steps to add this code to claims.
Electronic Claims Go to Billing>Electronic Claims - In Option Set Selection, choose the Electronic 837 Baseline option set (must be dated 2/7/19 or later)
- Click the Options button to access the Billing Options Wizard.
- Click
the Merge Button and Merge into "All Option Sets."
- Click OK.
- Close and reopen Electronic Claims menu.
- Choose the Medicare PPS option set and click on the Options button.
- Go
to Locator 2300.67. Select either 'Patient FIPS County ID' or 'Patient
FIPS County ID No Leading Zero' (depending on your MAC's requirements)
and enter '85' in the free text field:
Repeat Steps 6-7 for each Medicare home health option set that requires such as
MSP, Adjustments, etc. - The
Statistical Analysis Report has been updated to not duplicate charges
if multiples of the same insurance record are active for the patient
admit.
To All California Clients:
- The
Report Groups for CA OSHPD ALIRTS have been updated to align with Line
Item Number changes made by OSHPD for year 2018 reporting. Agencies
running these reports should click on the Alter button prior to
