NY Medicaid EPS
- Program Changes have been made to address retroactive wage increases for 2024 per NY Medicaid. The unit's county CBSA information must be set up in File>File Maintenance>Category>County Type exactlly as specified in the NY Medicaid EPS Billing Guide for these rate increases to take effect.
Replacing Expired Diagnosis Codes
Clinical Users- Create a Physician's Order (Change Order) with an
Order Date of 9/30/2024 and add the discontinue date of 9/30/2024 to the expired diagnosis code.
- Create
a Physician's Order dated 10/01/2024 with the patient's current
diagnosis codes and add the replacement diagnosis code.
- Once completed, confirm in the Integration Log that the Diagnosis
Export
is successful.
Billing-Only Users- In
the Patient Diagnosis Tab, replace the expired diagnosis code with the
new code. In the Patient Certify tab, create a Change Order with date
10/01/2024, click on the Diags button to import the codes from the
Patient Diagnosis tab, and Save the record. The Patient List Report can
be run with the Expired Diagnosis Report Type selected with a date
range including 9/30/2024 to obtain a list of patients with
expiring codes.
