Attention all Clients interfaced with Clinical software:
For
episodes that start prior to October 1, 2015 but end after that date
(cross-over episodes), ICD-10 codes should be entered in your clinical
software's Dual-Coding Worksheet/ICD Transition Export. Once exported to Billing, the
ICD-10 codes
can be viewed in HBS via the 485 order. To perform this function:
- Go to Patient>Admit/Maintain and select the Patient.
- Go to the Admit tab and confirm the correct Admit record is selected and then go to the Certify tab.
- In
the Certify tab, select the cross-over Certification Period and in the
Orders tab below select the Order and click on the Edit Order icon:

- The ICD-9 codes will show in boxes 11 and 13. To view the ICD-10 codes click on the ICD10 icon in the lower right corner:

- The
ICD-10 codes will then be shown in boxes 11 and 13.
- Click the Print button, then click Preview and go to Page 2 (487) to view diagnosis codes 7-I8.
- If the ICD-10 codes
are not appearing, complete the Dual-Coding Worksheet/ICD Transition Export in your clinical software and
export to Billing.
