Claims Status
The Claims Status menu provides access to 999 and 277
response reports to determine if claims or claim files were accepted or rejected by the
payer or clearinghouse. Review the Ability Interface, RevConnect or Zirmed (Waystar) Interface guides for more detailed information on viewing 999 or 277 response files from those clearinghouses.
Go to Billing > Claims Status  X12
837 Claim File: specify the electronic 837 claim file to view the claim
detail record in conjuction with the response file (optional). Use the
ellipsis button ("...") to browse to and select the file.
277, 997 or 999 Acknowledgement File: specify the response file to view the rejection reason(s). Use the ellipsis button ("...") to browse to and select the file.
Type: shows whether response file is a 999 or 277 type.
File: shows the file date and time
BillType:
shows CLM for 999 file level responses or the Bill Type for
277 claim level response files (NOA, NOE, RAP, Final, 81x, etc).
Status: shows if file/claims were Accepted or Rejected.
State: shows whether file is Current or has been marked Discarded.
Name: shows file name.
To
view the Electronic File and 997 Acknowledgement report when using a Clearing-House:Clearing-House: Select the contracted clearinghouse from the drop-down to get response reports for that
clearinghouse. NPI:
Select the NPI for which to view clearinghouse response
reports if your agency has more than one NPI. Click ‘Get 277’ or ‘Get 999’ to retrieve response files from the clearinghouse. Preview
or Print: Highlight a file from the grid and click ‘Preview’ or 'Print'
or double-click to view the response report. Click ‘Yes’ to view
the Electronic X12 File Report if the File Status is Rejected.
Rejections will appear in bold on the report. Click ‘No’ if the File Status is Accepted. (Click in the ‘State’ column to manually mark
accepted files as Discarded). Include
Discarded in List: After the 277 or 999 report is previewed or printed,
the file is marked as Discarded. Discarded files can be
viewed later by checking this box and pressing Get 999 or Get 277
buttons. Save: Check this to save the 999/277 file to your local or network drive (optional). EASE: This option is enabled when the RevConnect Clearing-House is selected. Used to log into the Inovalon portal. To
view the Electronic File and 997 Acknowledgement report if Clearing-House is not selected:
X12 Claim File: Click the ellipsis button to browse to the file
location and Upload the claim submission file.
277, 997 or 999 Acknowledgment File: Click the ellipsis button to browse to the file
location and Upload the response file.
